We definitely had reason for Berlin being on our list....!  Fabulous (and huge).  We arrived in the middle of a snowstorm which made arriving at our hotel all the more cozy.  We loved our hotel - small boutique recommended by a friend in Barcelona.  That afternoon as the snow came down we enjoyed a tea in the lovely little lounge attached to the hotel.

The next day, despite the "European deep freeze" we decided to be troopers and do a 4 hour walking tour of the city.  No regrets!  Although a little chilly at times, we really enjoyed touring around the city and seeing a lot of the major historical locations - Checkpoint Charlie, the Berlin Wall, Brandenburg Gate and many other historical buildings.  The next day we checked out a couple of museums, the New museum, and the German History museum - both were excellent.  The "new" museum as they call it (that just re-opened a couple of months ago after a massive reno) was incredible.  The building itself was reason enough to go, but equally impressive were the amazing Egyptian exhibits.  Going to museums is EXHAUSTING! ha ha....!

The next day we were heading back to the big White North to prepare our next huge adventure, South America!!
