Caravan Graveyard

The great thing about having your own campervan is getting way off the beaten track. That's how we found a place where caravans go to die – a spot we could free(dom) camp.

It gave us complete serenity – sound of waves gently lapping at the shore, rain pitter-pattering on the roof. We were hit by a tropical rainstorm for 36 solid hours, so this meant we made solid headway with Backgammon.
Following an extended debate over the rules (in the absence of internet access), the backgammon championship is finally underway!

Mario enjoyed a headstart with a score of 2-0 but once Dee got the hang of it, she's been in the lead ever since. The last recorded score was 16-19 but Mario is nipping at Dee's heels and giving her a definite run for her money. Both have won double gammons but no triples yet.

Dee plays the black pieces and Mario is silver. But sometimes Mario is the black ;-p but comically he always loses that game and switches right back to silver. I guess once you go black, you don't ALWAYS go back!

We haven't yet decided what the overall winner's prize will be. We'll have to come up with something creative, something big. For now the leader earns bragging rights. With a whole lot of bragging banter going on!

But it's still very early days. There are many more rainy days/nights/afternoons and many long bus/train/plane journeys to go.
