Last national park day today. Up and out in record time to try and Skype South Africa from the local motel. No answer so we leave for Yosemite.

First stop today is Bridalveil Falls in the west of the park. A short walk to view them. Not particularly impressive, as slightly lacking in water at this time of year, but pretty enough. Next stop is Tunnel Valley Viewpoint. Great view from here as you can see down to Bridalveil Falls, Half Dome and El Capitan.

Return to the water for a paddle at Swinging Bridge. Slightly odd name since it doesn't swing, but never mind, the area is beautiful. We spend time taking photos of the lovely water, trees and cliffs in the backdrop. Picnic lunch here with a beautiful view. Then it's time for our lunchtime trek. Definitely the best park for this, and it's great, since the grown ups get to see lots more of the park too. Another couple of miles under our belts as we try to discuss and agree on the best national park, the best beach, the best view etc, so far. So many places. We agree we'll need the help of all our photos to help us decide.

Ice pops to cool us down as we think today is even hotter than yesterday. On to our final viewpoint, and last glimpse of this fabulous park at Valley View. Taya has a drive of the van whilst Emma takes lots of photos of the view. It is practically impossible to take anything but an amazing photo since the scenery is incredible. We try to get a photo with Rich, Dylan and Taya all looking and smiling sat on a log at the viewpoint. Not sure if we were successful yet. Dylan tells Emma a story about when he got married to Heidi at Tiny Tots, all his friends and family were there, and they cheered. Then they ate cup cakes! He then lists who was at the wedding. We tell him he has chosen well! He keeps telling Emma and Rich that they are still married, although not still at their wedding, but they do have their wedding rings. He makes Emma list her wedding guests. This is all inspired by a book we have 'Around the World in 80 Days' where there is a wedding at the end.

Back to the campsite for some playtime. Dylan has a surprise on the iPad from his best friend (wife) Heidi. He has insisted Emma ask her the words of a song they sing at nursery called Hop Little Bunnies. Heidi has recorded two lovely versions (one slightly more tuneful than the other). We listen to it 456 times before Emma is allowed to get on with the tea. Thanks Michele and Heidi, he loved it.

Finally allowed to inspect Dylan's teeth tonight and we think he now has a full set of 20, so that's three more molars since we were last allowed a peek.
