Happy 9 Months to lovely Taya. Your first year is racing past, but what a special one so far. You are an absolute delight and such a good traveller, we couldn't have asked for more, except a few more hours in bed perhaps.

Also delighted that Taya's godparents have accepted. They are our fabulous friends Michele and Thomas Gerlack and Kate Standing. Lucky little girl with some amazing role models. All such lovely people, great supportive friends to us and some of the best parents we know. Oh, and they all have twins so one little girl should be a doddle for them.

On the road today, part one of our epic journey from Yellowstone to Lake Tahoe. After many times trying we eventually hit our goal to be on the road by 7.30am. After Taya's nap we have finally found a decent radio station that doesn't just play country music, so we crank up the tunes on the party bus. Everyone needs a party hat, in the form of a head rest cushion, except Emma, the driver, who has Dylan's dinosaur hat. We are making great progress and decide we have time to stop at Yellowstone Bear World. One of Dylan's favourite Peppa Pig episodes is when they go camping and go to Duck Land. The song goes "we're going to Duck Land in our campervan". Our version today "we're going to bear world in our campervan". The park is home to bears who used to roam in Yellowstone National Park, but have needed to be removed. It's a drive through safari park. We not only see bears and the other animals we have seen in Yellowstone, but also wolves and a moose, which we weren't lucky enough to spot. We don't make the most of everything it has to offer, but it's a welcome break, and lovely to see the bears up so close. Both Dylan and Taya enjoy watching them through the window. Dylan's stock response to most animals (except dogs) is "oh cute" or "oh sweet" in a high pitched voice.

The afternoon journey passes quickly whilst the little people sleep and the big people chat. It is the most uninspiring view we have had, but that doesn't really matter.

A big food shop and restock at a super Walmart this afternoon. It takes a little longer than planned as we are not allowed to buy beer. We apparently look under 40 (thankfully), and therefore need to be IDd, but they won't accept anything other than US ID. Rich does a great job of complaining to customer services, who finally, after asking three other people, key in Rich's date of birth and sell us the beers. We will need them later as its absolutely boiling here. We have seen quite a few large people in the shop. Emma spied another extremely large lady in a mobility scooter on the way out, Dylan frightens the life out of Emma. He loudly asks "mummy why has that lady....." Oh heck what's coming "got two beach balls?" Oh good god, Emma whips her head round to see if the lady is listening. Phew, she does have two beach balls in front of her scooter, they are for her grandchildren.

We check in at our campground in Twin Falls in time for dinner and bed for Taya. Dylan entertains himself using two 7UP boxes as welly boots. Lots of excitement for the little man since there is a playground and a swimming pool.

Rich and Dylan start the evening entertainment in the playground. After a lot of asking by a hot Rich, sweaty Dylan finally agrees to come to the cool pool. Dylan has decided that his tricks need developing in the pool. His stepping in has now developed into a belly flop, and he now turns onto his back and attempts to swim backwards. After he slips in at the deep end (8ft) we head back to the RV with Dylan not even phased.

Hello again!
The sparkle and energy of the 4 on Tour shines through!
So much to celebrate for Dylan and Taya's progress in particular.
Their little characters are fabulous - Dylan by the bear sign and happy Taya bubbling in the shower!
The locations are inspiring and collectively so memorable.
I have missed you for too many days!

You'd have loved it!
Relaxed is not a word I'd use, but well and happy.
