This morning we clean and tidy up the RV ready for the next chapter in our adventure. The kidlets play and have some downtime whilst we do our domestic chores. There is not a whole heap of room in the van so we weave and hop around each other getting everything sorted. We also all have a nice chat with Grandma Lizzie.

We set off after lunch heading for Zion River RV Park just outside Zion National Park in Utah. The drive is about 3.5 hours. With a pit stop, we arrive to check in about 4pm. The journey is pretty, but windy, until we reach Virgin River Canyon. Here the roads twists through a beautiful canyon and Emma struggled to keep her eyes on the road.

The RV park looks lovely. This is quite a statement as so far, although clean and functional, they are more akin to car parks. Our lot has loads of lovely grassy areas around it, a picnic table, a fire pit and a playground for Dylan and Taya just inches away. We are also delighted to report that although it is still hot it's enough degrees cooler to make a big difference, and the temperature drops at night to pleasant.

Rich and Emma get all the maps, pads, books and diaries out for some serious trip planning in the evening, fuelled by Oreos and a couple of cold beers. We need to decide on our route and destinations. Our rough itinerary looks extremely full and we now know more about what we and the children can happily handle, so its back to the drawing board.

We find out that we have had a time change on our drive and have lost an hour.

Looking forward to exploring Zion National Park tomorrow.

I just can't stop looking at the trio of photos with Dylan, Taya and the Ipad.
They really do speak volumes for their Mummy and Daddy.
Lucky little ones.
