It's a really hot day today so we whack up the air con and drive for another dose of shave ice. Dylan and Emma popped to a shop whilst the others queued for the shave ice. Dylan practically floored the lady who owned the shop. She asked me where we were from and Dylan from under the counter, where she can't see him, pipes up "Croydon, near London in England, but at the minute we are just travelling"
Shave Ices were yummy. Dylan chose the rainbow one again, and we opted for strawberry cream on the other. Dylan made a better choice as it gets a bit samey with all one flavour. Taya insisted on joining in the fun, this one is no wallflower, so she got ice with the flavour sucked out of it. After the initial look of surprise at the temperature she seemed to really like it.
We stopped at a beach just down from our usual, called Three Tables. We built a few sand castles - Dylan was slightly disappointed when Emma explained that constructing a snowman like we did at home in the snow might be a little tricky due to dry sprinkley sand and a lack of time. Of course watched some surfers. Taya had a little dip in the sea, covered herself in sand, ate the obligatory handful, and watched patiently as her giraffe was buried alive in the sand. She lurched forward to rescue him. This is her latest 'trick', bouncing up and down whilst seated and launching forward. Fine on the beach, not so much fun on the wooden floors
Back home for a play in our shady garden and a swing on the hammock whilst the tea is created - yummy salmon tonight.
Dylan and Rich had their early evening stroll to past the beach and on to the supermarket. We stopped off at several convertible cars and looked around for the owners to ask for a ride before heading to the fire station to try there. Emma suggests that the firemen might have been out surfing, but is firmly put in her place as they are of course out working.
