Breakfast for all this morning, and then down to catch our bus to Bondi. Dylan insists on a few photos at Circular Quay and wants to take some of us much to the delight of a few oldies who are watching us. 35 mins later and we are standing on the perfectly combed sand at Bondi, and gazing at another of Sydney's amazing beaches. The hazards of the perfectly combed beach soon becomes apparent - Dylan has to learn to watch out for the tractor which is cleaning and smoothing the sand. Then we are all off to ruin the drivers work and leave our mark in the sand.
After a short stop we prise Dylan away for our planned walk along the sea front from Bondi to Coogee. Emma and Rich walked this ten years ago on our last visit and loved it - thanks to Rich's Mum Val for seeing this in the Telegraph travel section all those years ago
This time we are much fitter and up to the test as we carry the pram and picnic up and down the many steps along the way. The small drizzle of rain saves itself for our lunch stop, so we soon have the kids in the pram and finishing off their food on the move under the 'sunshade'! Taya is so keen to eat these days she refuses to give up her cracker until she is asleep, leaving Emma and Rich the job of cleaning her up later.
5km later and a few hills under our belt we arrive in Coogee, having enjoyed about three little bays on the way (Tamarama, Clovelly and Bronte). Lovely to be back.
Dylan awakes to the promise of a playground for him to play in, so we have a good mess about with Dylan and Taya on the swings and slides and, finally, with another little boy in a toy boat. "Thank you for finding me this lovely playground". Being under Sydney's flight path gives this playground another edge - Dylan never failing to sound amazed that another airplane is skimming over our heads.
We bus it home and back for a swift dinner, before showers for all and Emma is packed off for another night of catch ups with her old work mates.
Lets hope this a networking comes in handy one day!
