Wow, wow, wow, Sydney is amazing!

We spent today with Rich and Lucy, who were incredible, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. As we walked down to Circular Quay from our hostel this morning it was so foggy it wasn't possible to see either the Opera House or the bridge. We had a stroll around Circular Quay whilst we waited to meet the others and the fog was gradually lifting.

We jumped on a ferry over to Taronga Zoo. For some reason, which we were not sure of, it was cheaper to travel with a child, so Rich and Lucy borrowed one of ours. Lucy had a free pass for four adults entry to the zoo, and the little people are free anyway - result.

Much excitement of course as we enter the zoo on a cable car. The views of the city from all around the zoo are quite simply staggering. It must be the best setting for a zoo anywhere in the world. Its a beautiful day, lovely and sunny. Some highlights of the zoo were the seal show which was funny and cute, feeding time at the gorilla enclosure, and the bird show. We were sad to learn that Dylan is no Harry Potter and can't talk to the snakes.

The views on the return ferry were fabulous and we snapped away happily. Back at Circular Quay we have some beers and food at the Opera Bar right next to the Opera House with views across the Harbour to the bridge, what a great setting.

We all wander along the coast, sea and amazing views on the left, Royal Botanic Gardens to the right, all the way round to Woolloomooloo Bay. We say goodbye to our fabulous tour guides, so jealous they live here, and walk back through the Botanical Gardens to our hostel. Dylan plays with Taya on the way home and makes her giggle as only he can, best sound ever.

A great, great, day. Rich and Lucy have given us more ideas for our to do list for the rest of our stay here, so we are even more excited now.

What a great day and a bit you have had. Everybody looks so relaxed and well. Mind you you ought to be given such a fabulous background.
