Our prayers were answered. An excellent nights sleep for all. Dylan was the winner with 13 hours! We wonder how much longer it will be until we can all sleep for that long. Can we even dare to hope that we have evaded the dreaded jet lag?

Strip the beds and carry our own bags, we will certainly miss those luxuries from Sri Lanka but we best get used to it. We head to the lounge and kitchen area of the hostel for breakfast, then hit the road. We've got about 4 hours to cover today but no specific plan other than we need a map book else we might never get there.

Nice houses then countryside on the outskirts of Adelaide, but nothing much to stop for. Our first stop is for lunch at a roadside picnic spot, not quite what Emma had in mind but never mind, it'll serve a purpose. Lots of pesky flies. We press on whilst the children sleep through some beautiful scenery right by the side of lake. We get excited by our first wildlife spots..... Well the road signs for Koalas and Kangaroos are pretty cool and you know you're in Australia. The road follows the coast down through Coorang National Park to a sleepy little town called Kingston. Photo stop for a ridiculously huge lobster model outside a restaurant. We stop for a little look around and then take the kidlets to the playground. It's pretty chilly and looks like it might rain so we feel right at home. Dylan has missed playgrounds in Sri Lanka and is delighted to be reunited. The favourite was the horse see-saw. There was also an area under the play structure that he turned into a shop and we took turns buying things from him as the shopkeeper. Dylan and Taya thought it was hilarious each time it was her turn to be the customer.

Final hop to Robe (or Rope as Dylan calls it) which is our stop for tonight. We are staying at Lakeside Tourist Park in a little cabin. It looks a little like a mini static home, certainly not luxurious, but it's clean and functional, and will do the job for us tonight. We unpack the car, then go into town in search of some dinner. After a quick look at the marina we find a lively pizzeria which is really nice and we enjoy dinner for four. We all enjoy Taya joining in, and little D turns on the charm with "mummy that was a lovely dinner and its so nice that you could join us!"

Looking forward to a bit more exploring in the morning, hoping the weather might be a little drier.
