When we were in Las Vegas, lounging in a hot tub at the campsite, a lady told us about this place.  It is right along Highway 1 and they have marked off parking places for RVs to park. So you just pull off the road and you are in your campsite.   There is a rock wall between you and the beach but you can still see the ocean. So we spent three leisurely days there.  I read a Nicholas Sparks book; Ken finished a Jane Austen book.  We watched ocean waves come in, walked the beach and watched the sunset over the Pacific Ocean. Doesn't get much better than that.

Getting there was somewhat of a bear though.  We had to drive through Los Angeles.  There was so much traffic and this was the middle of the morning.  I kept thinking shouldn't all these people be at work.
