To add to that, my wish for summer to show up was answered. It went from cold to HOT. The last two days were 90+ and humid. Stacy went out and bought a new fan for the girls to use at night. At the price of the fan, I thought it should have been an AC unit.
So finally, today I needed to get out of the house no matter how hot it was. Abi volunteered to come with me and we voyaged into the city center. We decided to check out St. Stephan's cathedral, since we never really paid to go in and look around. Of course when we got there, a special mass was going on, so we were denied entry. But the north tower was open, so we decided to pay the fee to hike up the 343 stairs to the top. That might not have been the smartest choice on a hot humid day. The small spiral stairwell had a distinct odor of the many other people making the trek up the top of the tower. Once we got to the top, we had lots of good views of the Vienna skyline and the cool tiled roof of St. Stephan's.
After coming down the stairwell, we were both hungry, so we headed over to the central market. When we saw that the Dr. Falafel booth had shaded seating, we were sold. Abi and I enjoyed some Falafel sandwiches and a nice cold beer.
After that, we headed back home to cool off. Being stuck in the apartment has definitely made Stacy and I homesick. Hopefully, next week everyone will be better.
So this week we were mostly home bound. After coming back from Budapest, Stacy and Abi took a couple of days to get over their cold. Just when we were they started feeling better, Kahlan came down with the cold. I had a busy week at work, so we all were pretty much were stuck in our 80 square meter house.
