We are staying here in Robe for the Summer holiday period. However the words summer and Robe should not necessarily be used in the same sentence! It has warmed up today and we are still only sitting on a chilly 19C! The locals insist it's not normally this cold here. It's definitely the closest I have come to English weather since I have been in Australia.
We are also living in a house, which is really strange. Suddenly I am feeling the need for ironed clothes and my hair straightener! What is that about? I have been ironing, vacuuming and baking. The trappings of a house. I have to say though, thank goodness, we are in a solid building though, it is sooooo windy here, I don't think we could have stood it here if we were still in the van and you should see the view
We felt terrible at first after leaving our van and taking most things out of her, it was weird and even now, I pop out to her and spend a little time inside. (Is that weird?)
We have Christmas decorations up, whilst not up to my usual 'Sophie" standard. And we made a gingerbread Christmas tree, the children decorated it and I cleaned up the mess!!
Adam lost his top front tooth and we tried to wiggle to other one just so we could sing the song. "All I want for Christmas are my two front teeth".
We had a very small family Christmas day, but did get to spend time at the beach, which is something I never usually do on Christmas day. The beach was beautiful and the sun sure shined on Robe for us, if only it could be more like this!
So as it is so quiet for us and we are missing our family and friends, I would love to hear what you are up to!
This is short and sweet today as I just wanted to wish you all the best, hope you've enjoyed our little updates and let's see what 2011 brings us all.
Love to all.
