Yes, I know, I know...............We are STILL here!

If you stay somewhere long enough, people come to you! Apart from Nonna and Nonno, who have just spent the week here, The Hawkesford Family spent some of the School hols in Coral Bay.  We didn't know they were coming, so Leila was well and truly shocked when she saw Katie and Libby walking along the street.  Turns out one of the teachers at their school, Jane Bridgewood was here too and I've just been chatting to a lady that used to go to Waterbabies with us back in Innaloo! We MUST leave the state soon! People really are coming to us!

The arrival of Nonna and Nonna was a welcome bit of family time and the weather was spectacular, As well as the cooking! They bought up some much needed supplies and I even gave them more stuff that we seem to be taking with us on the trip, but not using. With the warm weather back I even got me back in the water for more snorkelling!  The visitors also made the most of some fishing out on the boats with Nonno catching one of the biggest Red Emperor fish ever caught in Coral Bay at 13.5kg!

Adam had his 7th birthday and we managed a few party games. My baby - gone!  With just my children and The Peacock children, there still was quite a crowd.

We also had a visit from some friends from Margaret River, Jeff and Jordan.  Jeff being super dad took the children on a turtle tour on a boat.  The turtles were amazing bopping their little heads up and down and they snorkelled in some amazing places with Adam actually duck diving down with Jeff and saws 5 reef sharks!  Rather him than me...(feel as though I'm neglecting my motherly protection here!)  Also the hump back whales are hotfooting it past right now and they saw lots of them breeching.  My little feet (who laughed then??) stayed firmly on the sand and I actually managed to have 3 hours to myself.  (First time in about 4 months!) I LOVE YOU Jeff!!

Fabio and I also managed a night out together! With The Peacocks putting on a movie night for the children.  We even dressed up!  Not as in 'smart' BUT as in fancy dress!!  We went to a murder mystery night!  Now if you've ever been you will know they are a hoot!  I can imagine that if you were able to stay sober, you might be able to work through the clues and get an idea 'who did it'.  We however were not in that group!  I had just as much idea at the end of all the clues than I did at the beginning, that being ... NO idea!  But the evening was great and I was even able to be a virgin again!!  (Vestal Virgin called Rotunda)

The Flock of Peacocks, the family we met in Denmark, left a few weeks ago, after spending about 8 weeks here and so the children are started to get antzy now, so I think the countdown has started.  Fabio and I could quite frankly live here for some time...... but Karajini is calling and the next time I blog, no doubt we will have moved on.....(or not!!)  Jo, the mother Peacock, wrote me a poem before she left and I thought I would share it with you:

If ever you find yourself alone
And needing a good friend
Pop on down to Coral Bay
'cause right here I'll contend
That you will find a candidate
Although a touch 'koo-kee'
She's a self confessed 'good looker'
My crazy mate Man-dee

She's bound to start the conversation
With an okka "G'day mate"
Just smile and nod and let her be,
Her Aussie slang ain't great.

Be sure to keep an eye out
For the Odd, occasional moth
Our Mandy drops her bundle
When they're flying 'round unsquashed!

The word 'round town among the locals
"It never rains in Coral Bay"
Was shared with our dear Mandy
At the start of her long stay
But to her great astonishment
The statement proved untrue
The rain came down and she declared
disdain for the 'HUGE' deluge

Mandy had her quacks and quirks
Too numerous to mention
Let's just say, her eccentric way
Is  quite often outside convention
From 'first date!' shrieks aplenty
To the month phobia jitters she gets
One could be forgiven for confusing it with Tourettes

But despite the English terminology
And the fact she's a chatty sleeper
Deep down this woman is all heart
As a friend, this ones a keeper.

                                - Jo Peacock

How nice!  AND let me tell you, she was as quirky as me I recon!! I do really miss having a woman around, but it was time for them to move on, no doubt we will catch up at their place in Sydney.

So hopefully the next time I blog...we will be on the road again!
