Hi Di Hi my friends!

We have been on the road now ( well away at least) for a just over 6 months!  WOW how quick did that go....starting to think that we might be away longer, as let's face it we're still just up the road!  (Relatively speaking)

Yes over 7 weeks in the Bay! I realised that we have been in this spot for quite some time, when this morning I had to weed the annex!!  Yes I have grass starting to grow through the gaps in the flooring!  Saves on plant pots I suppose, but not what I had in mind for the inside of my 'home'.

We are situated between the Flock of Peacocks (the traveling family mentioned on previous blogs) and Roy and Debbie - Roy is from the North of England, so no-one can understand a word he says!!  Debbie being Australian.  A few nights ago at the Bay view Caravan Park Staff Night, Roy described the width of something we were discussing as "'Bout as wide as our Kevin's Ford Cortina!"  I nearly wet myself with laughter!

I have been still struggling with speaking 'Australian Mate' - to be said with as much 'twang' as you can muster.  My 'G'DAY MATE' is coming along nicely as well as frequently using the word 'vacuuuuuum' and 'baaand aid' - twanging it as much as possible.  Not that I have been vacuuuuuming the caravan - (mind you, might have to mow it soon!!)  However, I'm torn because I am also reading the Faraway Tree to the children by Enid Blyton and for some reason when I read it, I launch into some terribly posh English accent and I DO feel the need to use the words 'presently, frightfully, dismay and astonished' with such great regularity that frankly 'G'day Mate' seems terribly vulgar!!

So we are also in the middle of World Cup Fever here, and me being English, Fabio - Italian descent and overall living in Australia, we thought we had it covered........however.....Turns out not one of them could do us proud.  Still, no more late nights... or rather early mornings!

Ok, so I haven't been back underwater - but where I did complete my apprenticeship was apparently about as good as it gets and therefore....why settle for anything less.  That and the fact that there is whale carcus is inside the bay and the tiger sharks are really enjoying feeding from it - I don't need to see that frankly or even be in their local vacinity.

Sunset fishing is however something that I like to embrace and whilst my part of the fishing is sitting with glass of wine in my hand - its something that I enjoy.  The sunsets are amazing and even spotted something entering the atmosphere last time (Fab thinks it was a cloud......??) So please have a look and let me know what you think!! You need to click on it to get a better view!

My girlfriends recently got together for an overnighter and I was surprised, when I got the word to Skype them, only to see that I was there with them too!  (In the form of a 'doll' of the grown up variety) It was great to see that I was included.  I had a pedicure, (although looks like my legs could only hold one position, bit of a worry!!), I was all dressed up for pre dinner drinks, I even went in the pool!  Next morning I looked a bit deflated, but put that down to a hang over! You must have a look at these photos!  It did make me feel a bit homesick for a while there......

A rumour that I need to dispel is that I DO NOT have tourretes!  Okay the problem we have here is just the pure size of the MOTHS!  Rain moths apparently.  (not sure why they are here, as remember - 'It never rains in Coral Bay' ) They are HUGE and they insist on doing a 'fly by' -always around the wine o'clock time slot and always past me - which means we are usually entertaining or have friends over, just about to have a little sip and out of nowhere I scream WWWWAAAAAOOOOOOOOOO!!! I frighten the living daylights out of them. Just pure reaction to the moths and then clear up of the spilt drinks!!  This might happen every 6 - 8 minutes, leaving the impression to other campers that 'That poor mother must have a tourrets situation going down! No, hones, just scared of the moths!  Honest!

Anyway, not much more to report...so until next time.......

Can't believe it has been 6 months already!!! I thought we would be setting off shortly after you guys but we are still struggling to get out of the rat race. It seems winter is a difficult time to rent your house out in Scarborough. Your blogs are always amusing to read and we commiserate that we are not yet out there doing the same each time we hear from you. Mind you I reckon we will be out of WA before you are... even 6 months behind! Still- it's all about enjoying the moment, wherever you are and it certainly looks as though you are doing that. You remain an inspiration to us. Thanks again for the update.
C U soon.
