Koh Samui - summary ....pretty airport, stayed in Arayaburi in the NE of the island - although the resort in general was slightly tired, our cottage was lovely with every mod con and beautiful bedding etc., white sand beach - very quiet and relaxing...but shallow and rocky so no good for swimming....rained for some hours every day (torrential tropical storm caused structural damage one evening!).....managed only one really good sunset beach meal....hired a jeep and toured the island a couple of times, visited a waterfall and several other beaches - particularly liked the remote SW bays - 5 Islands resort and Weisentahl.
