Just a little pit stop to break up the journey to San Cristobal. We arrived late last night with two Swiss friends that we met in Mazunte. They are on their way to San Cristobal too, to handover some money that they raised back in Switzerland for the Zapatistas, a local revolutionary group that fights for the rights of indigenous people.
Juchitan is a small, out of the way town, one hour from the coast. The local people seem friendly and last night we had a beer with some random guy who was only too pleased to exchange English and Spanish phrases with us. When we get to our next destination we will start our Spanish classes, three hours a day for one week. We can stay with a family or just go to school. We haven't decided which one is best for us yet.
Anyways, that's all we have to report for now. It's just a stopover, a little like staying in a sweaty Bexleyheath on your way to London!
