During a busy week God created the Heavens and the Earth.
Whilst he was there he came up with a good idea. Miles away from the safety of the Garden of Eden where Adam and Eve were eating fruit, he made a country that was to become the danger capital of this new planet. On the land and in its waters he put all of the dangerous animals that he could; those that bite, sting, poison and strangle to the ones that just need to look at you to kill, the sharks and crocodiles. This land has the ten most venomous snakes, the most venomous living thing on the face of the earth in the box jellyfish and of course there's the spiders. They will kill you while you're on the dunny or wait for you in an air bubble at the bottom of your swimming pool.
God gave everyone enough of a warning of this new place, he even made this country's very earth red, natures sign of danger.  To protect the land from intruders he even created possibly the least attractive indeginous people just to scare off anyone who made it to these shores. But since when does Man listen to God?

A guy called Captain James Cook crashed his sailing boat into the shores of this land in 1770, founding the worlds largest country from the worlds largest island which is also a continent.
Then some twelve years later they thought it might be a good idea to send criminals there, kind of following on from Gods plans of keeping it all in one place. I don't fall out with this, but soon it back-fired.
The descendants of these convicts had turned this land into one of the most beautiful places on earth to visit.

Some 200 years later we touched down in the land they call Australia.
