We get to Kuala Lumpur, a modern super-city made of concrete and glass. The city seems to be fighting with the surrounding rain forest for dominance, swathes of forest springing up within the cityscape.
As we wander arround the place, getting lost as we do in all the cities that we have visited, we feel separate from it. It is a clinical city, no real character or warmth. It feels like trying to make yourself at home in a dentists reception. They try their best but it just doesn't work!
We visit the sights, most notably the Petronas Twin Towers with their interconnecting walkway. Up until 2001 these were the tallest buildings on the planet. With Daves fear of heights we only view them from ground level.
That is as much as I can remember of Kuala Lumpur.
We leave the sterility behind and head for the glamour of the Lion City!
