Luang Prabang, May 6
Miles travelled: 71557 Luang Prabang is a UNESCO World Heritage city, because of its well-preserved temples and its setting among high mountains. There is a thriving night market (mainly focused on tourists) and we saw many Westerners in the city -- more than we would have expected. We also took a side trip to some beautiful waterfalls and swam in the pools at their base -- wonderful scenery reminiscent of our time in Tahiti. More thumbnails ...
