volunteering at Hope

We've arrived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Here we'll be spending a month to help at Hope Enterprises, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping the poor through relief and education. We worked with Hope last year for a couple weeks and were very impressed with their commitment, methods, and results. So, we'll be working in their HQ office working on administrative tasks as well as designing improvements and gathering material for their website.
We're staying in the SIM guest house in Addis; this is very convenient as it is just around the corner from Hope, an 11-min walk is our commute. The guest house hosts missionaries and volunteers who are either staying in or passing through Addis. It's been interesting to meet lots of folks who are overseas for long-term or even their whole career, and we've been impressed by their commitment to serve God by meeting the physical and spiritual needs of the Ethiopian people.
Eventually, we'll get some photos up, but the internet connection is so bad that it may not be anytime soon... More thumbnails ...
