this morning i sit with my first cup of tea and a quiche at the tower of london on the thames - it sounds so romantic, doesn't it? i can see the tower bridge on one side and the tower of london on the other. i'm on a guided tour today - i figure that is the only way i will get to see "everything" - we are a small group with a very dramatic guide (i wonder if her use to teach drama!) we have been zipping through the city and our first stop was the abbey - i "saw" the abbey and house of parmiament and took my picture of big ben - now we are at the tower of london - diamonds and beef eaters...queen victoria's crown is my favorite! so small but ALL diamonds! i stood in the place where famous people were beheaded (shiver) - saw the HUGE ravens who use to taste the kings food before he would eat it...and al lthe while, i can't stop thinking about the Princess bride..."have fun stormin' the castle" and "nobody can withstand the machine" i even found myself giggling in the torture chamber...
