We woke to blue skies and sunshine and decided that we would take advantage of the good weather and rest up at the site for an extra day to allow Neil to do some routine bus maintenance.
We had a very anxious five minutes around lunchtime when Neil thought someone had stolen his tool box. As a result of the rain (we think), the electric wasn't working on our pitch. So as Neil went off to have his shower, he took his tool box to a spare pitch opposite us to effectively reserve it, but didn't tell Mel. While he was gone, Mel was busy packing things away in the bus, but did notice a ranger get out of his truck at the pitch opposite and then drive off a few minutes later. Five minutes later, Neil returned to report his tool box "stolen". We both hot-footed it down to the trailer of the camp host but he wasn't there. And while Neil started to go around the site, Mel headed back to our pitch. As she did so, she spotted the ranger's truck and sprinted after him. Thankfully he had the tool box in the back of the truck. He thought someone had left it behind and was going to take it to the park office a mile or so away.
After lunch, Neil spent the afternoon cleaning up the parts we had got yesterday while Mel caught up with the blog. Unfortunately, after yesterday's bad weather the insects are in overdrive today. Ants, flies and chiggers everywhere!
We relaxed into the evening with a few beers and a huge selection of music from our MP3 player, which eventually led to Mel dancing in the bus! They are actually big enough to do that in!
