We woke early, but Neil's first words were "We're not going back to Albuquerque", so we closed our eyes again. About 30 minutes later he said, "Come on, get up, we're going to Albuquerque". Thank goodness it wasn't a life or death decision.
So a little later than planned, but still early we were on the road again......you guessed it, towards Albuquerque!
After a couple of stops for breakfast and fuel we arrived at Discount Auto Parts around midday. And this time we both went in. Two pairs of eyes are better than one and all that!
In order to cover the cost of the fuel to go back again, we had decided to look for things not only for Chip, but to sell back in the UK
Four hours later we emerged from the lot, very hot and very dirty but rather pleased with our days "work". It sure beats serving pasties!
After a stop at McDonalds for an ice cream and Wal-Mart for groceries we headed back to Santa Rosa. We had only just got out of the city when the heavens opened and for most of the journey back we travelled through phenomenal thunder storms. Towards Santa Rosa some of the fields next to the freeway were badly flooded. We reckon it had probably been raining here for most of the day. We arrived back at the site around 8pm and in the middle of a downpour. We had no choice but to brave the rain to get to the shower block. We were minging!
By the time we had showered and had dinner it was around 10 pm and we collapsed into bed completely exhausted.
Miles travelled: 257
Total miles travelled: 7469

The Outskirts Of Albuquerque
. Due to the favourable exchange rate and the fact that the parts over here are more abundant and in better condition than in the UK we should be able to get a few quid for them.
