A long 500km drive from Kamloops to Banff where we stay for 2 nights. What we have realised now that we are here is we should have stayed in Lake Louise. It's more central to the National Park and would have involved less driving back and forth to get to the main sights and walks. Went for a day of hiking on Saturday. A small one to start off with but then a big one around Lake Louise, relentless uphill all the way but the view from the top was spectactular. Let you know if it was worth it once my legs stop hurting!
