Wow, what an early rise in Paris this morning. We were up at 4:15 am with an aim to leave the hotel at 4:45 am. We had a 20 minute walk to the train station to catch the first train to Charles de Gaulle airport. We arrived at the airport at 6:10 am, and the check-in agent offered us seats on an earlier flight than the one we were ticketed on. We jumped on it as this would get us into Frankfurt an hour earlier, providing us with a relaxing connection. The flight from Paris to Frankfurt was quite empty. There were twenty-nine passengers on a plane able to seat over one hundred and thirty. We had plenty of room to spread out, although it was only a 50 minute flight.
Our first stop ever in Germany lasted all of an hour and forty five minutes. I guess we'll have to come back sometime to try to the beer. We couldn't really justify having a pint of German beer at 9:00 am although it must be "five o'clock somewhere" or as we say in the Faulkner family, "noon somewhere".
TTFN (taa taa for now) Until Cairo (or as the Germans call it, Kairo)....... G & T
