We are finally in California. As we go from one national park to another, we've primarily been on secondary type highways which we see the oddest things. This burl wood artist (burl just refers to any abnormal growth on a branch) was very cool. As Augusto puts it, Oregon is where all of the flower children of the 60s have gone to retire.

We didn't have too long of a drive today, but getting there we drove Redwood Highway 199 which at times was narrow and full of curves. Augusto has ended up doing much more driving than I had planned.

Our stop was Jedediah Smith State and National Park. Which in and of itself has some of the oldest and tallest trees.
