Today we awoke to a clear day and for the first time saw the full mountain. It was elusive today as the clouds moved in and out of the mountains range all day. At least it did not rain at all. So we grabbed the motorcycle and off we went.

We headed first to Ohanapecosh area and walked the Grove of the Patriarchs. Here are the lest tallest trees of the park. This section is much lower in elevation and so the trees have much longer growing season. We had a great picnic along the calm Ohanapecosh River, enjoying the sun.

We then headed to Paradise, the most visited section of the park. It lies right next to the mountain and the Alpine meadows are covered in wild flowers. As it was Friday the long weekend crowds had not yet arrived and we really enjoyed the beauty of the park.
