Getting ready to go get breakfast.....more later on our 'SWIM' to Newark.......No Worries, it's all good.
PLEASE REMEMBER in your thoughts and prayers the Families & souls of those who perished on this day, eight years ago:
We made it safely to Newark, Delaware at about 8:45pm. Rode about the last 90 miles in the rain and wind, but we made it. We are bone tired but dry, thanks to good rain gear.
Gooooooood Mornnnning ALL!!!!.....slept like rocks...only problem here is this Super 8 rates "OK".....not as good as Franklin's, but was clean & comfortable.
We did get to see (not visit) one eastern Virginia shore lighthouse, very different from S.C. lighthouses.
The rest of the trip was spent navigating in the rain & wind through areas of the countryside of Virginia, Maryland, & Delaware. Also passed through an area that had a record 6 1/2" of rainfall in 4 hours,.
We had the pleasure of crossing the Delaware Memorial Bridge in the dark, in the rain and in the high winds, but the bridge lights made it absolutely spectacular. By then, all we wanted to do was arrive at the motel safe & sound. Mission Accomplished...THANKS BE TO GOD!!!
Ready to head out for day # 3, and more rainfall......"But, No Worries....It's All Good!
