I decided to skip the walking tour today and ended up sleeping most of the day. It was fabulous, and this ended up being a good plan since most of the sites were closed and it was wicked cold out.
I managed to roll out of bed in time to take a bath in my deep hotel tub, listen to some great music and sip the mini bar champagne while getting ready for dinner.

Enjoyed dinner and a glass of wine with Msgr. Mayo and choir school friend from New York at Augustiner an der Frauenkirche, a traditional restaurant located in the theater district near the church for tonight's choir concert. The company and conversation was great! The food was good but very filling and the only vegetables offered was kraut! It's all meat and dumplings here.

The choir’s joint concert with the Dresdner Kapellknaben at the Hofkirche was incredible. I am so glad that our kids were able to share a day with another group of choir kids. I think they went to the choir school rehearsed then met them back at the church to perform. They mostly performed separately but did join together for a few songs. Check out the video for an amazing Deep River rendition performed by the our choir.

After the concert Amy, Anna, Karen and myself headed into the bohemian district and caught some Jazz at the Blue Note and then ducked into a specialty cocktail bar for some "hot drinks" before waling back to the hotel. We had planned on attending another Johnny cash b-day party but the listing was incorrect and we ended up in a better, more relaxing adventure. These are some of my favorite fellow mom's at MCS. It was really fun chilling with them

It was a much needed restful day.
