Got up really early and watched the sunrise from the deck hit the mountains over Swiftcurrent Lake. The weather started to clear up.. so I jumped on the chance to do the 12 mile roundtrip to Upper Grinnell Lake and Glacier. Really outstanding scenery: water cascading down every ridge, impossibly blue-colored glacier lakes, and the fall-colored aspen trees.

I caught a moose and her calf on the trail on the way up and had to wait 20 minutes for them to clear out.. but was good as I met this Australian girl while waiting and we ended up hiking together for the rest of the day.

I then drove down to East Glacier Lodge and hung out in the lobby while watching thunderstorms roll through.
