Our bus ride back to Caracas was uneventful, and mercifully comfortable, though neither of us slept particularly well. All the hotels in Alta Mira were full, so we allowed ourselves a slightly more upmarket option in Las Mercedes. We didn't do much in Caracas that day, spending most of it just chilling out around the hotel, (it had a pool and everything)although we did stroll out to an English bookshop to stock up for anticipated long bus journeys ahead...
