In the Manchester Airport Travel Inn, Andrea was up 3 mins before our 6am alarm call, I was still dreaming and felt like I´d just climbed into bed. Our taxi came as promised, and was only a short jaunt to the airport. We were flying with BA, and taking advantage of their online check-in/seat selector would have eased our passage, if the self-check in machine hadn´t gobbled up one of our tickets. Luckily the ever-professional BA check-in staff were on hand, and we were again on our way.

Our flight left pretty much on time, and was pleasant enough (GE-90 powered B777 for fellow boffs) and we watched Meet the Fockers on the seat-back TVs. I then managed a bit of a snooze while Andrea sat enthralled through Spongebob Squarepants ("He´s a sponge that lives at the bottom of the sea, and he´s square, so he wear´s square pants" she explained later).

We stopped off for an hour or so in Antigua, where about 3/4 or more of the passengers got off. Antigua was interesting from the air - turquoise seas, white sandy beaches, and large yachts moored in a large Marina, giving way to scattered shoddier looking housing inland. The centre of the island looked mountainous and jungled.

Tobago was cloudy when we arrived, but the cloud only took the edge off the heat which rose to greet us as we walked down the steps onto the tarmac, on our way to the arrivals lounge.

We went through customs and immigration with little delay (Andrea v.pleased that the official had written ´honeymoon´in our Tobago stamp in our passports), and were soon on our way to our hotel.

¨My name is Leroy, welcome to Tobago¨ said our friendly taxi driver, and welcomed we felt.

The Enchanted Waters hotel was enchanting indeed, yellow 3-story houses around a landscaped garden and pool, with lots of little waterfalls everywhere. We had dinner at the hotel that night, in their open air restaurant, but jet lag soon got the better of us, and were both asleep before 9pm.
