Hey Ho Amigos!  We arrived in Lima a week ago, after an eye watering 24 hr journey from home to hostel.  Didn´t really know what to expect but quickly found that Lima is a great city to be in.  Its not as hectic as Bangkok, not as overwhelming as New Delhi, but kinda a cross between Tenerife and India. We settled into lounging by the beach and jumping into ram packed collectivo´s to get to Lima Centro.  We have met loads of great people, and fallen in love with the cholesterol laden Churros - a crispy doughnut filled with caramel - mmm!....

We even managed to make pots of Chai on a random Wednesday morning for peeps wandering in and out of our hostel (hence the bloody teapot!!) and go to the cinema and watch Resident Evil 3 - which is very entertaining in a braindead way!!  We´ve seen (misty!) panoramic views of the city from San Cristobel and been to the entertaining Museo de la Inquiscion (lots of torture devices) and the morbid but cool Monasterio de San Francisco which has loads of catacombs filled with skulls and femurs arranged in pretty paterns!

We have met loads of colourful characters from, Enrico to Jimi Hendrix (don´t ask), Miriam and Erik and John (with the Demontors Kiss).

Finally we went to a Peruvian Baptism last night, as we were invited by a couple we met on the plane, it was the perfect end to a great week.  (more details another time!) Arrived home at 1am, these guys now how to party!!
