Hey All
I am fine. I survived Hurricane Dean. They moved all Peace Corps volunteers to the U.S. Embassy. We were there for three days. The community that I live in suffered minor damages. My host family and the house are fine. Some trees fell in the back yard. One of the communities that I work in was completely devastated. Many are homeless. Helping with disaster relief. Will write back soon.

I am glad that you are ok. When the hurricane came through there I was in Austin at the State Hurricane relief center. Gov. Perry didn't want another incident simular to Katrina so 6 different states came down to Texas to be ready just in case. I was pretty impressed the way the government responded this time. I sent you an email so when you get a chance check it out.

Hi Claudia, I'm glad you're okay. I was wondering if they'd evacuate you all back to the states or what... But you got to stay in the embassy, that must've been fun. How were the people in your community? Did they come out all right?
