We caught a train from Barcelona, Spain, to Milan, Italy. The train must have gone through France because there is no land between Spain and Italy. We also stopped midway and the conductor told me we were at the "frontera" (border). So I have been to France. I was pretty much sleeping the whole way through. So my French is no better and I have not yet sampled a snail.
