Good bye to Etosha.  One final game drive, then we are heading north to the Angolan boarder. ...Gemsbok partout…at the water hole, walking in drinking, laying down.  The typical Etosha scene…springbok and zebra, interspersed with impala and wildebeest, and spiced up with giraffe and more of those ever so beautiful gemsbok.  Could have sat at the water hole all day, however, needed to push on to Ruacana.

Incredible drive in the total "out back" of Namibia…tons of little square 20' x 20’ “shops” or shabeens with really funny names:  Hollywood Store, Waikiki Shop #2, You like it here, California Dreaming, Gangsters Delight, etc.  There are cattle and goats and donkeys walking around all over the place, seemingly unattended.  This is the heart of un-touristy Africa for sure.

We tried to get a room at the Ruacana Inn but it was sold out!  ARE YOU KIDDING????  But, yes, there was some sort of convention here!  Incredible.  So we were the only campers setting up on the grass while the sun quickly set on the Kunene and over the hills of Angola.
