I so did not want to get out of bed this morning, but boy am I glad I did. First off we headed into Luzerne and walked around to see the Lion monument, then back to the bus and off to Pilatus, Mount Pilatus. Here we get onto the world's steepest cogwheel railway - steep as in 48˚. I was thinking about how much my Mum would have hated it, but everything else we have done so far on this tour does not compare to this ride, or the view, or even the ride down. The ride up takes between 30-40 minutes and when we got to the top we were at 7000ft. No snow on the mountain though, which sucks... but there is fresh powder on surrounding mountains. I went for a walk with Ed and Sandy through the dragon caves at the top, these weave their way through one of the mountains up here. After we are done up here now, we get onto these cable cars and head back down
Now we go to lunch which is a traditional Swiss lunch and traditional Swiss entertainment. This included veal sausage, cheese fondue, salad and dessert. We were entertained with folk music, yodeling (yes I got up and yodeled), flag throwing, music with cow bells and alphorn blowing. Talking about mind blowing. I love everything about this country, and I mean everything. The scenery, the atmosphere, the SNOW...
I still haven't had access to a computer and the internet so when I do I will upload my blog for those are enjoy it and want to read it.
I really don't want to leave here tomorrow and am considering going AWOL... But Tamara has told me I can't she would miss me too much. Thanks Tam J
Shopping was wonderful, but I behaved big time. Considered getting myself a Swiss watch here but decided against it in the end, I mean I have enough of them at home. I have been buying Lauree and Lotus snow globes, but think I will now keep them for myself, sorry ladies, hahaha.
I feel so at peace here, like I could just sit for ours with nothing but me and my thoughts, and yes that is a scary notion
We have our new bus now, this one has 2 less rows in it, so now I am sharing a seat on the bus, but that is ok. I am sitting with Matt, who is from Canada and traveling with his Grand-parents Ed and Angie.
Having a slightly earlier night tonight than last night, can't do nights like last night too often, and I kinda don't want to give a bad impression to a certain Tour Director, who I am sure already thinks I am flaky and all that.
You know you love me
