Where I stayed
Waking this morning was not as bad as I thought it would be. The room and bed did its job wonderfully. When I finally got to sleep that is. Breakfast was a disappointment after our fancy spread of yesterday, today was cornflakes, bread and coffee, that was it. Last night dinner came and went, literally, out...
Now we are heading to Munich for lunch. We have been driving now for about 90 minutes with another hour to go. It is still raining but not heavy.
I still can't get used to paying to pee. At these coffee and toilet stops we use, when you flush the toilet, it automatically cleans the seat.
We have just eaten lunch in Munich and it is amazing to see the difference in the weather. Munich had blue skies and was very warm
I love doing this trip by bus, the only thing that I find annoying is that we drive past things too fast and we don't stop for photos and spots that are worthy of photos. So the majority of my photos are through a bus window yet again. Oh well, at least I am getting photos.
We have crossed the border from Germany to Austria and looking at the mountain and the gorgeous scenery all I can think is - The hills are alive with the Sound of Music... I don't know where in Australia it took place, but this is such a beautiful country and from what I understand it just gets better the further in you go.
Gerry (our Tour Director) has just put the Sound of Music soundtrack on. So yes I am singing, but only to myself hahaha. It is so cool thinking that this is the country this movie was set, and that the movie was based on a true family. I would love to see this country in the winter, with the mountains covered with snow. That would be spectacular.
So we have just spent an hour walking around Innsbruck. I did this on my own. Walking up an alley that I felt like, as they all come out with a view of the mountains, it is gorgeous.
Coming to this hotel, I just realized I should have been taking photos of the rooms that I have been staying in, so I am going to start doing that now. This place I like, it is cute and comfy and perfect for 1 one person, kind of like an attic room.
Dinner was yummy, we had vegetable soup, turkey schnitzel and apple straddle. After dinner a group of us 'young' ones sat around in the hotel bar and had a few drinks together, getting to know each other and having a lot of laughs.
You know you love me
