Today while eating in the lobby after trial and error I learned that Thank you is not "Obrigado", nor “Gracias” but rather “Merci” and I am truly sure that by the time September rolls around my French will be better than most French 101 college students. Today was probably the most eye opening day, I think of the whole trip. I briefly met with two gentlemen I emailed about Senegal Basketball. They met me at my hotel last night and arranged to pick me up today to show me around the city. Mactar and Lamine are my first two Senegalese friends that I have made here in Dakar and they are extremely nice. After brief conversation of the Shooting Touch program, I come to find out that Mactar knows and works closely with the NBA's Basketball Without Borders Africa and Chris Clunie my advisor for this sabbatical journey; Small world! After driving around for a few hours and visiting a few neighborhoods, I have decided that I will run the camp in Sibac a small neighborhood just outside of Centre de Dakar. The court has been selected and CAMP STARTS Monday July 12th, 2010!!!!!!!!
