Most campsites in this area are closed because we are out of season, so we had no choice but to wild camp in the streets of Leon. Apparently there are 2 reasons to go to Leon; for the cathedral stained glass windows and frescos (which we never saw) and for the bars (our reason for spending the night here). San Martin and around is the area where we found lots of tapas bars, all them very lively on a Thursday night. Dad taught me a few words of Spanish, so that I could order him drinks and attempt to get meat-free tapas.
