Spent the majority of the day eating and drinking. Just went from one cafe to the next. There didn't seem to be much else to do in Vientiane. The only cultural thing I did was go to Wat Sisaket, where I took far to many pictures of Buddhas. Can't believe this is the capital city of Laos. It's so small; feels like a cluster of villages. Couldn't even find anywhere to buy a new sketchbook. Walked for miles in my search. There are more cafes than anything else. Enjoyed chilling down by the river, even if the waitresses couldn't speak a word of English. It's the first time I've had difficulty being veggie...mainly because of the language barrier. Fried vegetables came with chicken and it took alot of sign language to explain the problem. Getting quite sick of fried veg and tofu with noodles or rice. So indulged on Indian food and was very surprised at how good it was...the best Indian food I've eaten outside of India.
