First impressions of Mui Ne weren't great.  We'd had a hot, sweaty, cramped bus journey and when we arrived everyone we met was unfriendly and unhelpful.  Cheap accommodation was difficult to find and our first meal wasn't great...uncooked eggs and we never got our banana shakes!  It's funny how sometimes the little things are so important.  I wanted to leave straight away, but I'm glad I stayed to see the Sand Dunes.

The following day Gunta and I got up at 4.30am and got a jeep to the White Sand Dunes to watch the sunrise.  But it was cloudy so we never saw the sun!  It was still beautiful and we got to do a bit of sand boarding which was lots of fun.  Although we did get into a bit of an argument over price with the boy renting the boards.  We had a similar problem at the Fairy Stream with a young boy who tried to be our guide, even though we really didn't need or want one.  We also went to see a Fishing Village and the Red Sand Dunes, as well as having a quick glance at the Red Canyon.  I really enjoyed the tour.

Mui Ne is very chilled and luckily there's no party scene, so I had no temptation to stay up all night and managed to catch up on some much needed sleep.  The beach is nice, but nothing amazing.  It's very popular with kite surfers because it's very windy.  I managed to get sun burnt, because I didn't realize how strong the sun was with the wind and clouds, so I hadn't plastered myself in sun-screen.  I can't believe how easily I get burnt!
