I said bye to Mum and Dad at Manchester airport. They told me to "be careful and don't trust anyone, especially men!" At this point I had expected to feel slightly scared and nervous about my trip, but I wasn't at all. It felt like a dream.
My flight to Delhi was not direct, so I had to spend 5 hours at Munich airport. The wait wasn't too bad, because it's a nice airport; very clean and free tea and coffee...since when did you ever get anything free at an airport?! I still felt incredibly relaxed, surely I should be slightly anxious. I text Dad telling him that I still felt like I was dreaming and he replied saying "wait until you're in the middle of Delhi, then you'll wake up!" Good point. I decided I should probably open my Rough Guide and work out a plan of action to find somewhere to sleep the night. I discovered that there are no ATM's at Delhi airport...not quite sure what I'm going to do about cash! I have destroyed my Rough Guide by tearing out a whole load of pages, to make it easier to use. It now looks as though it's already been around the world!
