Flag of Costa Rica  , Guanacaste,
Saturday, June 29, 2013

I arrived in Costa Rica yesterday. Between flying all night and horrible airport food I felt exhausted and weary. Seeing all of the beautiful landscape as we drove to where I was staying lifted my spirits though! Everything is so green and lush. The homes are simple, and many of the roads are gravel. I absolutely love it. Its such a different world than back home. People are friendly and smile at you as you walk by. With the language barrier I feel very out of the loop. But i am trying to speak as much as I can, and can understand bits here and there.
Samara is a beautiful little beach town. The homes are built right on the beach. This morning I took a long walk and did yoga with the ocean right in front of me. It was breathtaking.
The weather here is very humid. I feel there is no point to do my makeup, get dressed up, or do my hair. Looking put together will last for no more than a few minutes. There will be sudden bursts of rain and then it will subside. Last night there was lightning and thunder. Usually I am afraid of storms but here it goes with the vibes and was ever so soft. I am hoping to make it to the next town tomorrow. I am unsure of how stable the plans i made prior to coming here are. Have to make some calls and see how everything works out. But in the meantime i am staying positive and enjoying every minute I am here.
Miss friends and family back home so much! Sending lots of love and good vibes to everyone!
