We arrived in Copacobana on Lake Titicaca after a longer then need be bus ride from Arequipa.

Fact: Lake Titicaca is the largest body of water at altitude in the world!

We took a boat across to Isla del Sol and when we got there I was not immediately impressed!! I had 25 plus kilos on my back and 200 over Inca stairs to climb!!

What did impress was the amazing rainbow of colours which spayed across the sky as the sun slowly disappeared and although we were on the wrong side of the island to fully admire the sunset we were able to admire another amazing array of colours as the sun rose the next morning behind the snow capped mountains.. After freezing all night and enjoying the sunrise that morning we made our way to the north side of the island to visit the Inca ruins.. Whilst not as impressive as some of the ruins we had visited so far during our trip we were greeted with 360 degrees of amazing views of the lake..
