Two nights in Rüdesheim to recover from our visit with the Szerencsi´s.

Sepp and Brigitte drove us to Koblenz to catch a boat for a 6 hour ride down the beautiful Rhine River.  The river is lined with small towns and lots of castles and Burgs.  Wish we could've spent more time in some of these small towne.  Another great place for a bike ride....

It is not yet tourist season, so there are no crowds in Rüdesheim, and we have the town to ourselves.  One day we took a cable car up the hill (over the grape vines), hiked to a monument, caught a cable car down the other side to the town of Assmannhausen, and caught a boat back to Rudesheim.  Every area brags about having the best type of wine, that they are known for growing.  In the center of town is a wine hut that sells glasses of wine by a certain Family for one week, and they have a different Family's wine the next week.
