Today we arrived in Cancun, waited in immigration line for 3 hours, took a bus ride to Playa de Carmen because the car rental rate was double that of the internet quote, arrived in Playa del Carmen to have no place to stay since the condo we had arranged to stay at did not have a responsive local personnel. It was a mess. This trip was with three other couples. We made the mistake of making arrangements before arriving in Mexico instead of just arriving and winging it. You never know what it is going to be like when you get there even if you have been there before.
