We just visited the town where Lincoln lived for most of his life, Springfield, IL. We spent most of the day at Abe lincolns house and the surrounding area.
we walked through the same halls he did, put my hand on the same hand rail he did, walked on the same side walk he did... and so on and so on.  we learned a ton about him, history surrounding him and that time period, and other people as well. When we were in his house, our tour guide showed us a tabletop stereo graph, a device for viewing 3d images. It was an expensive luxury that only somewhat wealthy people could afford, and it was highly fashionable.  Our tour guide called it the "XBox 1860".  That gave us some laughs.  The pictures will hopefully speak for themselves.
