Today we explored London and WOW!! We decided to take a free walking tour and it turned out to be a really great experience! Dale and Stuart (our roommates at the hostel) reccommended it after we told them we were going to take a bus tour. We saw so many really amazing things!!
We started out at the Wellington Arch and walked to Buckingham Palace for The Changing of the Guard. We could not see much of the actual changing, but we did see them walk in and see them leave. We saw a Changing Ceremony while we were in Scotland, so we were not too disappointed. But it was neat to see them coming and going. We also saw St. James Palace where Prince Charles, Prince William and Prince Harry live. It is actually a really small place and a little strange to think that is where they live! We also got to see Big Ben (which is actually the bell in the Clock Tower! Who knew?) and Westminster Abby. After 3 hours of walking around London with a really funny tour guide, we decided to walk to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. It was awesome! Even though today was a lot of walking, it was also a lot of fun!
The weather was a little better today, it rained on and off, but it was not horrible, until we got to Tower Bridge and the thunder and lightening started. We hoped a bus back to our hostel and are back to looking for a place to stay after we leave Paris on Wednesday.
We leave tomorrow afternoon for Paris! We are excited to be moving to what we are hoping will be warmer weather! Keep your fingers crossed for us!
I hope all is well at home! I love and miss you all!
