Today was an amazing day!  We decided to drive to Wales for the day and it was another gorgeous trip!  I cannot believe the scenery here!  I could stay here forever and never get enough of the beauty around me!  Plus, I am going to have a killer butt when I get home from walking 8 billion hills and steps!!

We first went to Swallow Falls near Betws-Y-Coed and they were beautiful!  From the road, we could hear the falls and after a short walk, we could see them and wow!  It was a gradual fall, but still beautiful nonetheless!  It rained while we were there (I am starting to think that it never stops raining here!) but we made the most of it and continued to walk around.  The rain almost added to the beauty because not only could we hear the falls, but you could hear the rain as well!

After we left the falls, we drove to Snowdonia National Park (where we saw Snowdon, a mountain and also the name of my Aunt Kathy's favorite snowman!) and a town called Betws-Y-Coed and walked around Swallow Falls
Swallow Falls
.  It was a cute town with little tourist shops.  We also walked to a swing bridge and walked across it...me included!  On the otherside was basically just sheep, so we walked back across!!

From there, we went to Llyn Cowlyd, a small lake with a 3 mile walking path around it.  We walked the path and it was so peaceful!  Randomly, we would come across small waterfalls and there were sheep everywhere!  (I think that the United Kingdom has more sheep than people-everywhere we go, we see sheep!  Sarah has big plans to purchase sheep when we get home-the white ones with black faces because they are cuter!)  It was so nice to walk around and see things without a lot of people around.  As much as I enjoy seeing the typical touristy things, I really like to just walk around in quiet out of the way places that few people know about!  There are so many beautiful countrysides just waiting to be explored!

I am having such a fabulous time!  I cannot believe that we have been here a week already!  Time is really flying by!  I hope all is well at home!

I love and miss you all!

xx Tanya

PS:  Happy Birthday, Mom!  I love you!
